More new Christmas decorations

I’m so excited for this next delivery. I’ve been hoping these would be in stock for delivery for a long time, and now they are finally on their way.

Trains are very popular as Christmas decorations. We have our lovely box set of four wooden trains, but this is much more impactful! I’m trying to think of a way I can keep one, but I’m not sure we have the space!

I adore rocking horses and this one really signifies the magic of Christmas. Going back a few years everyone wanted a rocking horse. The addition of a mini tree and Teddy along with the jingle bells around its saddle shout Christmas to me. It’s stunning.

We still have plenty of our musical wind up merry go rounds in stock. This is the red version with Santa in his sleigh but we also have a cream design with traditional horses featuring festive characters. Which would you choose?

I hope you are having a stress free run up to Christmas, not many weeks left now! Who else is getting excited?

Welcome Santa into your home

For children (whether the adult kind or not) the build up to Christmas Day and all the memories you make is what makes it such a special time of year. I always make sure to choose some decorations that children will love, whether it’s our ever popular town scene with moving train or the now out of stock twerking Santa (my husband said they wouldn’t sell!). This light up Santa stop here sign is ideal to pop on your child’s window ledge, giving a nice gentle glow.

Some children adore snowglobes, and these teacup size ones are ideal for smaller hands – please remember they are not toys though so should always be supervised by an adult. Would you choose Santa or Snowman?

Bring the magic of the North Pole to your home with this metal sign, you could even go one step further and create a role play area for your child so they can ‘work for Santa’ in the post office!

Whatever memories you choose to make with your family this year, I hope they are magical and bring the joy of Christmas to your home.

2024 prep and offering you a better experience

I hope you had a lovely Christmas.  With the amount of orders we got through, even on Boxing Day, there will have been some lovely decorations on display.  If you are still waiting for yours to arrive, we had a couple en route and a big Royal Mail collection this morning, so they will be with you soon.

This time between Christmas and New Year is always when I think about which direction to go in, and thanks to our lovely online customers I know we need to build on what we’ve achieved in 2023.  While we will still be doing Christmas markets, they can be very unreliable financially and involve a high cost not only in stall fees but transportation and time.  We are also getting older, and health concerns mean we need to use our energy in a more efficient way.

Reflecting, as most people do with a new year arriving, I’m a little cross with myself for not being more visible online in previous years.  We’ve doubled our online sales in 2023 thanks to all of you and a little ‘let’s just do it’ self belief.  After approx 14 years of trading where would we be now if I’d thought that sooner?

The focus for 2024 will be on service.  I want to provide you with a lovely experience when buying from us, so I am going to build on the way we package and ‘thank’ our customers when they order online.  It’s exciting and there’s lots on my to do list already.

We will be ordering stock at the end of January and already have a small wish list (including dinosaur decorations).  Now is the time to let me know if there’s something you just haven’t been able to find.

Our 30% off store wide sale continues until the end of 2023 so there’s still t8me to grab a Christmas bargain.  I usually restock the more popular decorations so don’t worry if you miss out this time.
